Question cricket colonies?

Hey all, was just wondering is it possible to get a good colony of crickets going without removing eggs.If i just leave containers of peat moss or turf in the cricket tubs will the babies get eaten.I use a heat mat to provide heat, it would just make it so much easier if i could keep them all together.Any suggestions would be great.

You'll end up with all different aged crickets. The big ones also like to eat the little ones. Just remove the tubs and hatch them out seperately.

You could do what I've done and accidently let them loose inmy apartment so they have bred in my art supplies... Damn noisey and could pose a slight prob tomorrow when the real estate show people through my apartment! haha...

I like the noise they make too but it makes me think I need to get out my sleeping bag and start a campfire in the middle of my apartment!
