Custom Enclosure being built

I have decided to go all out and start building a enclosure.

This enclosure is totally inspired by sneakypetes custom enclosure and I thank him for his help and inspiration. Its not a complete knock off though

What I will be doing is just posting pics of building it over the coming weeks because there have been posts of many wanting ideas for their enclosures and I hope I can help.

So my enclosure is going to be a total of 2100 H x 1200 W x 600 D.
It will have a main enclosure and a hide box in a cupboard beneath the main encliosure.

So I got some MDF cut for me at local Cabinet shop. The reason being is it was not much more for me to get it cut as opposed to cutting it myself. (and I am scared of powertools) $208

Next I decided that I would coat it in a low VOC resin I use at work. I thought I would go funky and I am coating the outside in an aluminum and the inside I am going for a hammered copper look.

Thats all I have done so far. I have ordered the Speedframe. So when that arrives I will be starting the build and will add more photos.

Ok I have a couple of touch ups to do but I finally finished my enclosure.

The product I used for the frame is Speedframe from Dexion. It cost around $800.

I thought about doing a fake rock wall but I wanted something a little more authentic so I decorated with paper bark. Eva my jungle loves it (well looks like she does) I will see how it goes but so far hasnt been a problem.

I am using a microclimate ADCS II from URS. I am totally stoked with this thermastat. I have set all the temps and it maintains the temps perfectly. I am running off that two 150w ceramics and a heat mat in her hide.

It was fun making it but I was very happy its over There is alot of man hours but very worth it.

If anyone wants to build anything similar and have any questions I will be happy to help.

Some pics of enclosure and Eva the jungle
