my maccie has been sitting down my shirt all morning, when she emerged about 10 mitues ago i noticed that some scales were damaged around her neck. would if of been from being down my shirt or something else? should i be worried?

Damaged in what way? Bent, lifted, pulled right off? Is she bleeding?

she isn't bleeding. they appear to be slightly lifted, as if she had a bad shed

As long as she's not bleeding and the scales haven't come right out she should be fine. You might want to keep an eye out for teeny tiny white or black spots and perhaps just let her have a swim in her water bowl and see if anything comes off. Scales can lift due to mites sometimes. Or they can just occasionally look a bit funny and come good with the next shed. It's probably nothing to be excessively woried about.
