I defrost mine in plastic bags (sandwich snap-lock type) with the hot water inside the bag as well as the rodent.

Just do it in a cup of hot water, and towel off the excess.

Is that your culling technique, or defrosting technique?

I fill the sink with hot water and leave the mouse in until it's soft. I always wash all my snake feeding equipment - sink included in disinfectant after.

Leave it out (in a bag) for a few hours like you do your meat for dinner, but make sure its fully thawed and no cold spots before you feed it. Or I put it in a sanwitch bag place it in a cup of hot, not boiling water. I've found when I put it into boiling water then brought to room temp they bust when the snake coils around it..

I place mine in a bag or container on top of the tank where there is a warm spot. If I am in a hurry, snap lock bag in hot water, not boiling. My MD likes to come out just as I am going to bed and ask for some food!
