Delma molleri

Hi all,
A number of weeks ago I posted a thread showing (very dodgy) pics of Delma molleri (a legless lizards species).

Anyway, I was back at the farm looking for the species again and after a pathetic weekend and in the last 20mins before we were going to leave, I find one!

Well heres some (again, dodgy) pics.

Did you find it under something, or in the open?

Pygopods have ears. Snakes don't. Obviously you need to close enough to see but that is one obvious difference. Also, Pygopods, like Geckos and Skinks, have flat, rounded, fleshy tongues where snakes have forked tongues.

do legless lizards have longer tails than snakes? i would imagine they are also able to chew (unlike snakes who just swallow food)
