diamond eggs

finally,in the heat of central queensland,my diamonds have layed eggs.16 good ones,8 slugs and a broken one.its her first clutch and i didn't really have her prepared for breeding because winter hit a little early last year and went off her food early so i wasn't expecting eggs.anyhow they are in the incubator and see what happens.the mum is a yellow and black and the dad is a stunning black and white,so going off 2 other clutches that i've seen from the same colouring the bubs should be yellow with bright white rosettes, but we'll see in a few months if all goes well.

there is water in the tub and they are a bit dimply.that how i got them off the girl. she had been on them for a day and gotten pretty dry before i found them so its fingers crossed.we thought her time had been and gone so we weren't ready for it.we've been using the "no substrate" incubation method.

Never seen the shelf / tray made out of bird wire before ...lol
Be sure your little hatchies dont fall through and hurt / drown themselves.
Post some photo's when they hatch.
Cheers.

normally use the white plastic mesh stuff but the bird wire works fine .it was a bit of a mad rush knocking up that piece of art work but i will be replacing it so with something a bit more professional
