differnce between sexes of snakes?

are male snakes nicer looking than females ? ie haev brighter colours?
do they grow bigger or smaller than females ? what about temprement ? does the sex have anything to do with it ?

i ask this coz with fish, (yes, im a big fish head) like most african cichlids, the male tends to be larger hten the females & has nicer colours !

does this work the same way with snakes ?

cheers

As Already gone said, females do tend to get bigger probably because they're the ones laying eggs. Males tend to stay a little slimmer than females. There's no difference in colour or pattern with snakes. As far as i know sex has nothing to do with temperament.

There is the occassional exception, for instance Wagler's Pit Viper. But we don't have to worry about them here.
