Disappointment with VICTORIAN GOV!!!!

The Victorian department of Sustainability and Environment have really got me frustrated and to be honest i am very disappointed in there help or lack there of in regards to the EXPO this weekend.
To me this expo is going to bring in a lot of herp heads from interstate.. who will spend there hard earnt money staying at Victorian motels, eating at Victorian restaurants, supporting Victorian business yet the government is doing all they can to make it hard enough that some may re-think even going and spending all that money.
I am talking about the infamous EXPORT permit you must have in advance in order to LEGALLY take animals home.. You have to specify what species and who sold you the animal... now i wont know this till Saturday.. and i might not even but an animal... but in cse i want to... well to put it bluntly i cant.. I would have had to organise it last week, get the buyer to get an export permit, and can you tell me how i am supposed to do this last week when i dont see whats for sale until this Saturday.??
Now they say i have to find the animal on Saturday.. get the details.. and they will do the permit by 12 on monday if i submit it first thing... too bad i have to work Monday morning and am going home on Sunday... now if i were not so law abiding i would just go home with my new critter and do the paper work on monday.. who would be the wiser.. its not like they ever reject an export permit...
Its a joke that the more you do right the harder they make it!!!
Why cant i fill in an export permit and leave the species and whom i got it from blank.. then at least i am on record.. then on monday moring fax them the information on my purchase.. they still have to input it monday.. as they would have to if i submitted the whole thing that morning...
BUT NO they want you to do the export permit then freight the animal... Maybe they have shares in AIR EXPRESS?????

So this is going to be the case if your from the rest of the country.. hate to break it to you VIC but there is more to Australia than you... why cant they give someone in the department friday off... then they can come to the expo Sat and get all the interstate purchease details and approve the export permits then and there?? I am so glad the SA side of it realise this is not normal circumstances and have been reasonable about it all...

They say the legislation does not allow them to do this.. so i want to know who here will help me get the legislation changed at a federal level so this crap doesnt continue...?

Oh and if any one from the VIC department reads this and is willing to change the situation i would be very excited to hear from you...!
