ok well i have finally started doing some actual work on teh enclosure (cutting out the hole for ventilation is fun especialy when you don't have the tools that would be really nice in the situation)
anyways i am having issues with doors. how do i make em and what out of! i honestly have no idea how to make a door on hinges for a reptile enclosure.
i looked at acrylic and i think its a bit to bendy and i don't think it would be terribly easy to attach hinges to it. basically i need rougthly two 2ft x 2ft doors.

Just make timber frames out of 42x19 pine, seal 'em and attach your hinges, glass or acrylic and hang em on the box. Why not go with sliding glass doors? It's a lot easier and a lot less work.

well i hear sliding glass doors are amazingly annoying over time. i like your idea though. 42x19 pine, make the frame then screw on some acrylic and hinge it on.
anybody got any pics of doors on their enclosures preferably other than sliding?

I'll take some for you when I get enough room to move in here You saw the hinged doors on my enclosures when you were here Slacky? Most of mine are sliding but I have a couple of banks of hinged too.

Is there a preference for sliding over hinged then?
(Sorry for stealing your thread SLACkra)
