Does my Accie need a sand box?

Im hoping some can tell me quickly as i wont be on line again till later this arvo....
if not i will catch up with the help given....thankyou!

does my Accie need a digging box.....

if so ,she is 27.5cm long.....how big for her needs?
.................................................. how tall?
.................................................. how deep?
.................................................. how much sand.....does it need to be moistened?

i dont think at this stage she will ever be breeding....but if its best for her,i want to provide one

About 3 litres minimum - 10 if you have room. I usually put it in a plastic container. Don't fill it to the top as it will get escavated by the accie to that depth anyway ;-)
Use brickies sand so when it digs in it it does not collapse.

Perhaps some photos of her and the enclosure might give people a better way to tell if she needs one

The tub I provide for an adult trio is about 400 x 300 x 200 mm. It is filled with damp brickies sand and bits of bark, just something to give it a bit more structure so their tunnels hold together.

Our Accies are about 450mm TL but remember it is mostly tail. Accies from some areas can get a little bigger.

I would suggest the more sand the more they will have fun in it. They love to dig - straight of the egg!

They will also lay their eggs in sand ... but you will need a sexual pair to produce fertile eggs
