i'm looking at http://www.animalattraction.com.au and was wondering if these oz bright uv heat and light really work. and how long do they last for should they be changed every 6 months like the tubes or not. just browsing around and seeing what i will be using when i build enclosures for dragons.

From what I've read, they don't seem to last that long. However, if you search through other threads, I think you'll find this topic has been covered about a zillion times! :-)

They flicker on and off randomly - I've found all the one's I've used have gradually become more unreliable the longer you use them (mine are only about 4 months old).
Also, they cannot be used with a thermostat and must be used in larger enclosures because of the high amount of heat they put out.
