Don't you just hate it when ...

Scene 1:

Show mother new addition to family.

Scene 2:

Out comes tank, lift of lid and delicately remove ceramic pot to display newest addition ...

Small panic ... no snake ... only small ball of shed skin (noted .. full clean shed .. however did it wrap it into a ball like that ?).

First shed .. proud of new addition but concerned with whereabouts ... did not wish to panic mother that a snake might be loose ...

Scene 3:

Lift up paper towelling and ta da ... there is snake ... but ugh .. belly up .. no movement .. do I panic .. its dead ! ......

Catch a big breath .. prod still form on bottom of tank gentlely ... and the little bugger starts to move (can breath again now) ....

Proudly pick up and display newest addition to mother (all the while muttering under breath about dratted snakes who like to play dead ... sheesh).
