I was down at a little dam near my place today and I found a cluth of eggs in a hole in the dam wall which the crows were eating. On closer inspection I found that they had eaten all but one which I now have sitting in a click clack in sitting in a warm humid place. Fingers crossed that it is still viable. It is about the size of a third of a thumg in length and about as thick. Any ideas? I was thinking water dragon because of the size of it.

Hopefully it'll still hatch. My friend was given a bunch off eggs, found by a guy who was cutting down and old tree near his house. He incubated it and 3 weeks later a lace monitor popped out. All the rest off the eggs did not handle the move, and had died (they were quite smelly). I reckon your egg is most likely to be a turtle egg, as it was found on a dam wall! Maybe someone could shed some light on how deep turtles tend to lay eggs.. etc.
Good Luck!

I've only bred long necks, their eggs are brittle shelled, not sure about our others.

When I was five years old a girl brought in about 5 eggs half covered in water, in a glass jar. She assured us all that they were fox eggs she had found near a creek and that she was going to hatch them. She actually managed to convince the teacher that they were from a fox, although the teacher didn't think they would hatch.
