Smile enclosure doors

I am building new enclosures. They will be 1.2m wide and 0.6m high to house snakes i.e. large diamonds. Does anyone ues hinged glass doors? I was thinking of putting a lip on the bottom and top so the doors could not swing inwards. Also a lock top and bottom on both doors to secure it shut. Does anyone use hinged doors or are sliding better. I am considering hinged doors because they seem easier to clean.

I have an exo terra at the moment and it has hinge doors, i really dont think it matters what you use as long as you have it tight so nothing small can escape and has a lock on it so snakes cant push it open...but im sure u have already considered that. But i would say go for it.

i had my enclosure built about 2 months ago and i got it with hinged doors with a glass insert and it has a catch at the top and a lock at the bottom and it is great.

I have both sliding and hinged on different enclosures and I find the hinged doors better.
Just my 2 cents worth

Yea either one is good.
If you keep your snakes in a fairly small room (like me) and need the space, sliding doors dont get in the way when they are open, which makes me like them better.
With cleaning, the sliding doors can be lifted out of the track.

Bill.

if you intend on keeping large diamonds i would make the enclosure higher than 60cm because they love to climb my diamonds enclosure is 6 ft high 4 ft wide and 2 ft deep and she loves it and saying that i use sliding glass ,you just lift them out when cleaning thats just my opinion
