Hi all,
Just a quick question, Which ot two enclosures would be more suitible for a mac or stimsons...
One that is 2.5ft wide and 1.5ft deep with 2 bayonets, and 1 fluro.
Or one that is 2.5ft wide and 2ft deep with1 ceramic screw and one fluro.
Thanks because i dnt know much about lighting

It's up to you really, I'd probably go with the: 2.5ft wide, 2ft deep with 1 ceramic screw and on flur.
My adult Stimson's are in:
Length: 90cm
Width: 60cm
Height 60cm
I use a cermaic screw in heat emitter, with cage cover and thermostat.

I'd go for the one with the ceramic screw fitting. That way you can still provide heat at night, with a ceramic heat emitter if you ever wanted to. |

you dont need a flouro so maybe ask to have it removed and save the costs ....

So they have hardly been used and the smaller one is 170 and the bigger is 190. Not much difference. And its driving distance for me coz im in melb

Go the bigger one with ceramic fitting , you could add a heat light later on ....price is ok ....especially if you can drive to pick up .....

either, and if you wanted to, it would be easy to change the bayonets to ceramic fittings too. ((reccomended: by a electrician of course  )
I recently picked up 2 4x2x2ft enclosures with hard wired thermos for $180.
All we had to do was change the vents in one and change the fittings to ceramic

the ceramics and bayonets, ARE for heating... why would you add another?
the fluro is for lighting

As Forensick is implying the flouro would be for daylight simulation only and not reqd for uv a or b. I think he is implying that !!!!!!!

i picked up the large enclosure today and got this black color heat light thingi, but it only gives out heat so its not a light as such. What is this called?
