enclosures for hatchlings

ok i was wondering if it would be alright to build an enclosure 8ft long by 6ft tall and have like 1ft enclosures for when i start to breed like there going to be 1ft long by 2ft wide would that be big enough to fit 1 or 2 hatchlings or not

Am i right in thinking you have one juvi spotted python and one juvi diamond?
Why are you even worried about housing hatchling snakes that you have bred?
I don't want to sound harsh but you are a long way off breeding anything if you only have two juvi pythons of different species, try and focus you efforts on getting them going well and learning about pythons before you start building cages to house the hatchlings you are breeding.

As for housing hatchling the best way is to house them in heated racks of tubs, using these you can house alot of hatchlings in a small area which makes it very easy to feed and clean them.

This is a pic of a single tub in a rack of 40, the back half of the tub is heated underneath by a heat mat which is controlled by a probe thermostat. You only need one thermostat to control the whole unit.

I think i paid about a $1 each for them, perfect size and they don't break if you drop them like the ceramic ones i was using.

One thermo will control a unit provide the it can handle the wattage, if it's a big unit then you would have to use a couple.
Most hatchlings of different species will live happily at 30-32c so theres no need to have different temps.
Cross that bridge when you come to it, you have to get the breeding stock before you can breed them.
Why not work on building cages for the adults you don't have.

I agree with NoOne - worry about what you have now. Even if you are a planner, it's really unnecessary to worry about this now. Also, you shouldn't be planning to house so many hatchlings when 4 days ago you wanted to sell your python and buy dragons because your snake was snappy.

Well if you are getting these cages built, get the breeding stock to fill them, if you take it one step at a time it will be alot easier.

If you are going to keep and breed pythons you ARE going to be be bitten at some stage, like it or not, it's part of the game.
