Well not really an escapee but a runner due to me not watching. I had my girl out today on a set up i built for her pic 1 ( to let her out and feel safe ) and get some photos. Well i had her on it today and i sat down with my other ( better ) half, we started taking and stuff and my girl took advantage of no-one watching. I looked over and she was gone ( yep she does go from time to time but i watch her and let her explore a little). I panicked ( for those of you that have lost a snake or had one escape I now know how you feel ) got up and looked for her. After about five mins no good ( was starting to worry ) then i checked under the recliner chair i had been sitting on and the below pics tell the rest. It was great to find her again even if was only after five mins. Pic 2 yellow arrow is where i found her.

Glad you found her. It would have been hard to find her if she had got any further into the chair... lucky... and I agree.. that moment you know they are gone,, the panic button hits..

recliners and pets = trouble. I try and stay away from recliners now days, one of my mates had a small dog go under his stepdads recliner one day, the outcome was horrific. So glade you found it safely, nice snake

When I was a kid I had a 6 foot diamond python which escaped. After turning the house up side down I found it curled up in the back of the electric organ in my bedroom. It was entwined amongst the circuitry and wires in the back of the organ, took for ages to slowly untangle her and coax it out. I remember a mate who's snake escaped in his car and was found tangled amongst the seat springs, and that took ages to remove as well!
Cheers, Davo
