hi guys i got some baby pinkie rats that ive bred for food and its the first time ive had to do it and was wondering which is the most humane way to put them to sleep.

I just put my thumb at the base of their head and pull their tails and press in at the same time, it breaks their neck and they die very quick. You can wack them on their heads but their is a thin line between not killing them and making a mess.
Some ppl will say CO2 but IMO it isnt a good way for pinkies and its alot of mucking around.
Some ppl even freeze them, this is considered to be very cruel.

pinkies in my opinion don't gas very well, their lungs aren't form enough for the gas to work, but thats just my opinion,

Pinky mice are one of the hardest to absorb CO2 Ive found that a pencil behind their head and press down gently breaks thier necks, I hate doing it but I also hate waiting for the CO2 to be absorded by the little dudes as well.

u cant pull pinky rats by the tail as their tails would rip off. best way is just to pop thier heads by squeezing with thumb at the base of thier head.
