Fake brick

this is a fake rock I build using the methods Simon Archbald submitted.

http://media.fastclick.net/w/get.med...c&t=n&pageid=1

I didn't put much effort into it as it was an experimential run

about 10 minutes a day for 7 days. 7 coats ( 3 tile adhesive, 2 paint, 2 clear varinsh ) . Wait about 24 hours between coats, but because it was not high priority I waited about 3-4 days

Fuscus,

What are you going to do with it. It looks like a cross between a cow paddy and a lamington

...it does work out a lot cheaper if you make a few. Plus you can customise the shape, size and colourations. As Mark said, this was his test run with a foam box.

Well done fuscus.
I got onto a heap of thick foam sheets for free, if any one wants some, got heaps, and can get more.
I have started one of my enclosures, glued in the main sheets, just customising it now, what a great big mess.

Here's a brickwork design I did using the same methods. This is in our Black-soil Bearded Dragon enclosure.

Hehe Switch, I wish. This was a Christmas present to my mate who lives in our house. I built the enclosure, kitted it out with everything and got him his licence (made him sign a secret piece of paper) and picked up the lizards for the surprise. We only had Wednesday nights to do it 'cause he was out then. the paint job took 7 1/2 hours literally all at once to do. These are the sort of designs that aren't good to make :-)

Oh by the way Mark, it's good to hear the snakeys used it today. Looks like it is nice and dark in there. One other thing I like with this stuff is it holds heat VERY well overnight, so provides nice warm spot for herps during nighttime.
