Feeding coastal enough?

Hi guys!
Just wondering how much more to feed my coastals in summer?
Since the weather has gotten hotter, my larger coastal (2 1/2 yrs old) seems to be hungry ALL the time.
She's feeding on one adult rat a week. And of late has been getting an extra one midweek every second week. But she's still hungry!
I keep a male with her in the same enclosure, and have a piece of wood that separates it into two sections when it's feeding time. The other week after she consumed her two rats, then busted down the wood and stole his rat too. (Now they feed in completely separate enclosures!)

Seems like she's going through a growth spurt but I don't want to over feed her.
Not sure her heads big enough to consume extra large rats. Would it be better to keep feeding her two rats a week or seeing if she can get down a larger one?

Is she really hungry, or is she being greedy?
How would I know if I were overfeeding?

Snakes will just about eat whatever you give them....

My Coastals that are coming up to 3 yrs old only eat One Medium Rat every 2-3 Weeks... And recently I was told by a Reputable Herp Vet that I was on the line of feeding too much.....

He said that you should Weigh and Measure your Snake (Vent to Snout) each feed, or every couple, and that if you are steadily seeing weight put on without them growing in length....You are feeding too much....

Hope that helps...

thanks surfcop! That's a good idea, might start measuring her more. I think she has been growing in length fairly rapidly lately though, I've noticed her head is alot boofier than her male partner now, almost double the size
