hope this helps

um i guess the mouse would be about twice the size of snakes head which local pet shop says is enough i only fed him tonight so i will wait and se how long it takes him to do his buisness this time round , is there any general rule on weight of mouse to feed them or anything or jut keep upsizing not too sure if it is enough food for him but he doesnt seem hungry all the time about 5 days and he gets snappy edgey looking for food , any advice would be great as i am only a new herper and what better way to learn then ask ,

I think the general rule is, the food is meant to be the same size as the thickest part of the snakes body

Hey Adam, how is your snake going? Has he settled in nicely? I generally feed mine every 7 - 10 days with something big enough to leave a slightly visible lump in his belly. Zeph weighs 96 grams and at the moment I feed him velvet mice, which weigh around 20 grams which leave a small bulge in his belly. That said, he's a little guts and spends the next few nights perched in the same spot waiting for more food! He doesn't get any but it always amazes me that he is back there waiting, tongue flicking away. Post some pics up soon if you have some

they dont always poo after every feeding,..when Loki gets towards shedding time he stores his poo for 4-6 weeks, but still eats weelky, then does a huge one.

also, when he was on pinkies he didnt poo fro about 10 weeks, someone on a different forum said they can absorb the whole pinky and wont go till i get him on bigger food,...

if ur cleaning up a wet one, (pinky poos look like soft serve icecream) they do smell kinda pooey,...but the normal firmer logs only smell if u get too close.
i find the wee part smells stronger,...
