fighting beardies

ok so my boy spikie now has a girlfriend (kala)
we tried to introduce him to her i always thought there would be a problem but i didnt think it would be this bad.
HE HATES HER.
he even trys to attack through glass he bit her a few times so we split them up.

i know this is going to take time i always knew that but has anyone got any ideas or hints to get him to like her. i dont want them getting hurt even though he is smaller than her he bit her quite hard.

he's been on his own too long and is randy? was he biting her around the neck?

If your going to cool them this year maybe introduce them then, when they are less active and possibly couldn't be bothered fighting. By the time you start increasing heat and food they may be ok as she has been in there for a while and they may get familiar with eachother.

That's what i learnt yesterday anyway, make sure you keep an eye on them but.

Have you tried putting them together in a neutral territory?

ok i am sure she is a she she has laid b4 for jason
i have tried in neutral territory i am a dog trainer so that was my fist thought

he was biting her legs and tail. i just dont get it cause he doesn't even care about the blue tongue he has been living with. she just sits there still and he attacks

I had something similar last December with a female....until MrMerlin displayed his authority !

try taking the others out ....even for half an hour....
then giving them a big veg feed.... together in the habitat....
beardies are always hungry....may make them think of other thing!

another thought is if she was living previously with another male ...he could smell him on her!
give them all a bath...

keep them seperate for now, but in eye sight, within a month or so they should calm down, introduce them then and see how they go. He just doesn't know how to treat a lady
