First enclosure building effort

Decided to build a few enclosures for myself, so they all look the same and all that jazz. Anyway, haven't ever tried to do anything like this before, and I'm quite happy with the way it all turned out. These photos are the finished product of my first of three exactly the same, minus the perspex windows at the front, and minus the cage for the light fitting which should arrive this week.

What do you think?

Very nice looking enclosure. Just a thought. You have a vent at the rear, but no other vents. It will not really work as well as it could. Maybe a small one on the cool side for the animal to move to when it get's warm. Make sure it is down low to allow the cool fresh air to come in fom the bottom and the warm stuffy air to move out.

Other than that, I love it.

Thats pretty good. Did you use a plan or design your own? WHat did you use and overall cost?

Great work... thats the sort of thing I gotta make up...

Cheers,
Andy

FNQ snake, that's not a bad idea, I think I may add a second vent on the cool side for extra ventilation. Porkosta, i designed it myself, it's built from 16mm melamine, and from start to finish it owes me roughly $220 or so.

hozy6, that one is for a male coastal nudging 5.5 feet.

Look real good.

How are you setting up the front, sliding, opening door etc?

it has two pieces of perspex for the front that are on tracks on both the bottom and the sides, kept together with a lock.
