I just got my stimson python today 
I'm just curious... my heat mat is only going between 25 - 28 degrees, it is on its highest setting and placed 1/3rd underneath the clickclack.
Do i need a better heat mat or better thermometre? Thanks heaps.
EDIT: The thermometre is just above the heat mat, and the other one is on the cooler side.

hey man!
try sitting the thermo on the inside on the click clack on the hot end 4 and hour and see wat it gets to ..and then try the cold end...remember the snake is sitting on the Heat mat..so the thermo sitting above it wont give u a very good reading...its only a heat matt not a heat light
Keep the warm end around 32....and cool end like 28..then he sould be a happy lil camper

I got my first snake today too!
Just brang her home, shes a bit jumpy..which is making me jumpy! lol
She is now curled up in front of one of her hides, like she is guarding it , soo cute

Thats good...remember dont let the snake sit on the actual heat mat..make sure the heat matt is under the click clack..
So try the whole thermo on the hot end and see after an hour wat it gets up to ...then u can work out how high to have the heat on th matt and u will know wats goin on in your new lil mans Click clack...
Im sure u dont wont a cooked lil stimson

Yeah the heat mat is OUTSIDE of the clickclack underneath it.My little guy is SOOOO inquisitive. He's gone into his hide once, and apart from that he's been roaming all over the place. Very placid. And very pretty!
I'll get pics once i get a better camera here. Otherwise I'll have to resort to really bad webcam pictures.
