| | | Freebie destined for Make-over
Gday all,
I scored this from work today, its about 5.5 feet high, about 5.5 feet wide and 1.5 feet or so deep. Its malomine, so the only thing i have to do to protect it is silicon the inside joins. The middle part is removable and i do have some shelves im going to cut up and make ledges with, and also put in a 3-4inch high substrate brace at the bottom of the front and at the top just for support. Im gonna keep it as 2 enclosures that i will move blocker into the left side. Heat will be ceramics thermostat controlled on the top right for the left side and top left for the right side. Any ideas on a cheap and easy way to fit 2 separate doors?? And vents, im thinking of having one on the back side opposite the ceramic, and one on the very bottom on the sides. Any other ideas you guys can think of? The main query is the doors id like answers on, but any other ideas would be cool!
Cheers, Alan.
P.s, its too big to get a photo that is one shot, so i have tried some trick photography and joined 2 together, and one dodgy side angled shot. But this thing is huge and will give block and whatever goes in the other side plenty of climbing space. |

Yeah was a cubboard. I took the doors of the front and used two extra shelves for top and bottom for the second enclosure. So all up 6 enclosures cost me..
6 x IMAT therm @ $28
6 Pieces of glass @ $30
Tracking $48 (included frieght)
6 Light Globes and Fittings @ $10
= @ $450 / 6 enclosures $75 bucks each!

Just plain old sand made, washed and sifted, id rather a little more natural look over news paper even though cleaning will be harder its worth it.
