hi all
im looking at buying a stunning pair of jungles but the females tongue stays out. it was born like that but was wondering if it would be genetic or just a birth defect, it feeds great and is very healthy but i dont want to breed with her if im going to have a clutch of funny tongue hatchlings.
any thoughts

It would be a birth defect. I don't think it would effect any babies that she would have.

we have had one or two like that over the years, In our experience it has no ill effect what so ever with the snakes eating sloughing and breeding perfect.

cool so if the snake was a hot looking snake you wouldent hold off buying it because of its tongue hanging out

Is it eating normally and roughly the same weight as its siblings?
Id just check that first as sometimes it can interfere with eating and you end up with a runt snake. A friend recently lost a diamond hatchy like that after 7 months of persisting with it.
