Dezza you will also need a bottom lip on the front of the cage to lift the glass above the substrate. Also, check out the glass tracking from bunnings thread where you can get black tracking cheap.

So does anybody know what brand of Paints and sealants are safe to use with snakes?

I'll also bump my question about the marine carpet colours...what can you get?

marine carpet comes in black, red and grey for sure.... ive got some of the grey stuff as substrate in my snakes tanks atm..... but im sure there would be others as well....

my wood enclosure has vents in the back.... but that was a premade one i bought.... im sure there will be a fewe different opinions on what works best...

Heres the under coat and first coat

Is there any particular vents out there people use?

also, what sort of sealant is safe to use on the inside?

We use the stainless steel plug strainers for vents

I'm planning on using Sink strainers for vents on the cold end, would I only need 2 vents? I bought enough strainers to make 4

they're sorta like these ones


Ordered the glass doors this week...woo getting closer...all this is fun of a strict budget.

i use the white rectangle ones from bunnings .just a jigsaw and a couple of screws needed and your done
