for a gecko laying box what are peoples opinions on the best laying substrate to use moist peat moss or moist vermiculite. also which species if you use different methods?

both of them work well, but I prefer Moist Vermiculite

I have just used damp peat in a chinese container with a hole cut in the side so they can enter.
Its workes fine,my thickies just laid in in 2 days ago.
