Possible to have all the above- like when keeping beardies, its not recommended that to much live food to let to roam the housing quarters for long periods. Make sure they are eaten quickly/overnight etc and that your not offering to much.
Dont be overly worried about the sand- i dont know for sure re:impaction however mine do have a tendency to pick a little up from time to time and the are fine from what i can tell.
So have they eaten as yet in your care? If not it could be related to a number of things ie stress of being in new surrounds, temps, not hungry etc. As it begins to cool down for winter you will find the gex wont eat nearly as much as they normally would. Its natural.
