gestation period

could anyone inform me the gestation period of a carpet python
i think my as eggs would like to know how long before she lays them tks

You will find the answer if you read a good book. There is a book out called Incubation of reptile eggs. It has all the information you need.

this is an excelent book i have read it about 10 times now and it has alot of info

For most Australian species it is a little under 3 weeks but there are many books that report this information on a species by species basis. My first point of call is Barkers book on Australian pythons but it is out of print. Another good reference for this sort of information is Rick Shine's book on Australia Snakes.

The gestation period starts after ovulation not pre-lay shed.
