gillen's monitors/ pigmy mulga monitors

hi all i saw a pair of these and was intrested thought i would learn a bit about them before ijumped in so far i know there arborial and the dont get to big apart from that i got zilch if anybody *couch* fuscus *cough* can point me in the direction of a care sheet or similar i would greatly appreciate it my main question is what kind of enclosure woul they need being arborial

Hang on, I read "anybody *couch* NOT fuscus *cough*" Damm Paranoia - wheres my pills?

Here is one from CALM. They recommend an escape proof enclosure

I published an article on V.gilleni husbandry recently, it's in the latest edition of monitor (Journal of the VHS). I think they were also going to stick it on the VHS website, it may be there. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them. I got another clutch of gilleni eggs this morning by the way

You're quite right about them being arborial in the wild, but in captivity they are very happy in a terrestrial style enclosure and in my experience seem to prefer it. They are extremely easy to keep, all you need is a VERY hot basking spot (at least 50 degrees, preferably 60 or even more) and a supply of good food.

lol nah fuscus i did the cough fuscus cough thing cause u were so helpfull with the ridge tali advice and i really appreciated it thanx for that link to fuscus is there anything u cant do

I know someone who has a breeding pair for sale if your interested, female currently gravid.
They have bred several times.

I think he is selling the pair for $600.

lol its not Matthew McCloskey is it NCHERPS lol cause im buying those monitors i cant wait to get them lol and im assured there mine this time no one else is getting them just me he he he but anything can happen so i wont count my chickens before the hatch or monitors rather but thanx anyways ncherps
