Sorry if this is in the wrong post section but I have a bit of a question to ask...
I have a few roaches and crickets which are a bit small to feed to my big beardies but are taking a while to grow. I feed them at the moment miscellaneous vegetable matter like buk choy and carrot. I have seen from a previous post that there is something specific that you can buy for them - a hormone or something, that can help them grow quicker. With regards to this hormone - I would like to know two things...
1/ Is it safe to feed the roaches to the lizards after having eaten the hormone or whatever it is(or does it have any adverse affects)
2/ If the above is ok, where would you buy this item from in the Brisbane area.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
Kind Regards

I once fed mine the bearded dragon dry pellets cause my beardies didnt like them, they grew huge very fast but they are an expensive gutload. you could try dry cat/ dog biscuits.

You can feed them rat pellets or dog biscuits to make them grow faster.

Will get onto that this afternoon. Do you think it's a good idea to moisten them in a bowl or something first or just put them in dry? I have heaps of dogfood and the bearded dragon dry balls as well so I can feed them either of those I guess.
Thanks again...really appreciate the replies.
Kind Regards

Ben

When feeding them I dust with a mix of 66% (Rep-Cal) Calcium powder and Herp-t-vite and the animals that eat them are also thriving.
