| | | Half a day and a hundred (NEW PICS ADDED OF 98% FINISH) I spent about $100 and about 7-8 hours to make this, it is 4 x 2 x 2 feet and all it needs is to have the heat and light fittings added and the glass doors put on.

The sides and back are pine tongue in groove slats.
I also used 5mm glass tracking for the glass doors (yet to be added) which will be 4mm glass. |

I have found 6mm is often cheaper coz they use more of it.

have you considered using it vertically instead of horizontally to give him some height instead of width? I know a re-think of the doors would be in order. Just wondering what other people's thoughts are in regard to giving height over width for a large Carpet.
