last week i prepared a bucket of warm water to soke one of my snakes that half shed. i put my hand in the water and it felt ok , but i checked with the laser temp gun and it registed 37c . to my surprise. i would have guessed about 26c. so it pays to check that its not to hot.

Just use water that is warm to the touch. Don't make it to hot. Most snake will become very jumpy when they first feel the water and want to get away.

Just make the water temp a degree or two warmer then the normal day time temperature of cooler end of the cage eg 26 deg C.

None of mine have ever drowned but that does'nt mean not to be careful, but my guys always put their heads under the water for periods of time and you'll find if you try to hold them in the water they will thrash about, but if you put a lid on there they will calm down quiet quickly. JMO and the soak will do them good if it is a dried skin - as it needs to come off.
