Hatchling help

hey every one
im expecting my first snake its a bredli i was just wonderin in a 10 litre tub. wat would be the best thing to use for heating or does any one have any hatchy set ups for sale at the moment.

heat mat under 1/3 to 1/2 of the tub

you will need a heat mat , thermometer and a good thermostat, place to mat under one third of the tub
and maintain that end at 32dc

no it will be fine, just make sure that you have it
running through a thermostat so you can keep the heat right

the heat mat can melt the plastic. a thermostat is a must. that will regulate the temp and will keep it at around 32.

I am curious , how many melted plastic tubs have you seen , i have never seen a heat matt melt any thing .......

I have my bredli hatchling in a plastic tub with a 10w heat mat under one end. A hide at the warm end and water at other and a branch.
I hope your bredli is as placid as mine.

i have a towel over my heat mat under a fish tank so i do not have a problem with it being to hot

I use heat cord as opposed to heat mats - primarily as it allows me to run it under multiple tubs and comes in smaller wattages that still cover a large area...
