hatchly rack.

hello i am using the sistema largest virsion tubs and want to know if anyone could share some ideas or som pictures would be great and i am more interested in using heat mat.

Here's a pic of mine. It's heated via 2x heat cords running through a Microclimate B2 thermostat. It holds 42 tubs.

Bottom heat, there is a groove about 5cm from the back in which the heat cord lies.

Currently there are 10 hatchling macs and 3 yearling SW QLD Stimmies in there.

my idea

i was thinking some thing like this the black stuff is the heat matt and the grey stuff is the ac sheating i will also be tiling on the top of the heat matt any suggestions.

Looks a lot more complicated then it needs to be. I'm about to build another rack to hold large tubs, about 40cm x 30cm, and i'll be using the same principles as my first one except i'll have two lengths of heat cord along the bottom instead of one, to heat up a larger area of the floor. I'll post some pics when i'm done, i'm hoping to do it this weekend.

I'm with MrB on this one. The Malamine racking with grooves in the back for heat cord is the way to go. I've got a rack that holds twelve 55 litre tubs and they're going great.
Stick with the K.I.S.S. principle and you can't go wrong. No need to over complicate things.

aahhh elapid68 you can take the man out of the military, but you can't take the military out of the man ( KISS) a term i haven't heard or used for a while.
