Healthy Mac?

Hi all, been awhile, if Admin sees this, I remembered my password and sorry to bother you. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone can tell me the weight of a healthy mac about 10 months old?

Weight will be determined of feeding amount, even though the animal is healthy, the weight can vary.

So long as your animals are feeding and shedding and pooping, i dont think you would have a problem

And yes you are so right and it is so annoying

there is no normal weight, it depend sof how much you feed it aand whether you wintered it or not all you will get is a weight of everyone elses snake about that age and they will differ. if he is eatign well, and looks healthy then he is at a healthy weight.

cheers
H.

Thankyou, though i was hoping for a general estimate. fisrt time keeper and very anxious that i am doing something wrong, especially as the enclosure wiring/thermostat has decided it won't work, back to heat mats for the prro things, tho they are happy enough in click clacks. Very excited, saw the boy actually drinking today, so i must be doing something right.
Thanks again, and if anyione is as anal as me and weighs their snakes every month, could you give me a rough estimate? Cheers, Boo

Jen , have never weighed a snake before , what does yours weigh ??
It may depend on so many things , i have a mac that's 7 months.... that's twice the size of another from the same clutch .....they both look very healthy and eat / shed well , so some may grow al little different to others ..

they both weigh just under 40 grams. i just worry that they are not growing enough and i thought this would be the place to find out. i weigh them on my jewellers scales. I am surprised that no one else keeps records of weights.

havent measured them but both appear heathy to me, can't feel bones, have some flesh on them, clear eyes healthy skin, feeding and pooping, shedding as well, and i saw virgil (the male) drinking today. both seem to be well muscled, move well and are happy to be handled, tho i limit myself to once a week for a few minutes at a time so as not to stress them

oh god! technologically challenged here! I'll see what i can do, but don't hold your breath, won't be til friday after work. Jewellers scales are brilliant for hatchies and small juveniles, tho they only go up to 100 grams, kitchen scales would work as well and are probably cheaper, but i had the scales for silver work so i use them
