I'm pretty sure most people don't recommend heat rocks due to their tendancy to malfunction..?
What species are you talking about, anyway?

You're wanting to use a heat rock instead of a heat globe, or in addition to?
Beardies prefer a radiant heat source, I only use heat globes. I think heat rocks are a waste of money, imo.

Do agree with Miss B,... you want the heat light to imitate the sun , so they head towards it when they need to heat up... to get hungry,to digest feed,to properly shed,to grow healthy & happy with few problems so you have them as long as possible!
