I have a shelf that has been routed out to take the heat cord at one end and it takes up about one meter of the cord witch leaves about two meters .
there is no instructions on the packet
dont know wether to roll it up or leave it straight dose it matter ?
I am setting up for my blonde Mac hatchy .
hope to have it very soon cant wate.

Not really sure about that but I don't want to risk a short circuit or something! I just let it hang from the back of the container. |

|  | Regular Member | Join Date: Mar-06 Location: Brisbane Age/Gender: 23  | | | | For a hatchy blonde mac you will be better off keeping it in a small secure plastic tub(click clack) and just run 1 length of the cord under one end. For the heat cord get a 4m 15 watt cord as these dont get too hot and can be used without a thermostat, higher wattage cords can however get too hot without a thermostat.
I tried to see if i could get a 15 watt cord to catch fire by squashing it into a ball and i couldnt even get it to melt plastic. I would still recommend you try to avoid it coiling on itself just to be on the safe side. |

and a thermostat will be controling it when it arives that is all i am wateing on
it.
yes i will avoid coiling it up
weskys the thermostat i am getting it from parkers enclosures darren is good to deal with
someof the suplies i get.
i get trough work
the pet shop in mayfield is good
also the one nere newcastle macdonalds
aquream and reptiles at waners bay
electrial whole sailers i will look them up at work let you know
rember if you get stuff from whosailers you should get a elecko to install it

You can run a few extra grooves, just keep them tight.
As you get some more tubs, simply increase the cord length by cutting out a groove.
