when did it last shed. my old Cape york did that and all it did was come off in next shed.
Sometimes the eyelid stays in contact with the eye during slothing and just comes off in next shed.
id say give it a nice warm bath

I'd say that the skin has remained over the eye. Try and increasing the humidity in the enclosure and see if that helps. There could infection setting in and if your in doubt take him to a good vet that specializes in herps.
If you can take a pic everyone would be able to see it and be in a better position to comment. Hope everything is fine.

Sounds like Panophthalmitis which is an eye infection. Snakes that have had canker or a respiratory infection can sometimes get this as a secondary problem. The cheezey gunk produced from canker or snot from a R.I. can glog the lacrymal duct which leads to the eye, causing an infection.
Antibiotics will work in mild cases but if left too long the fluid may need to be drained with a syringe. I would get it to a vet and ask him/her to check the openings of the ducts for any blokages and if your snake is a new acquisition i'd also check with it's previous owner to see if it had canker or a R.I. while in their care.
If i recall correctly, Purplefunkything had this happen with her diamond and the problem went away with antibiotic treatment. Perhaps PM her to get the full details.
