help i want to get a lizard or monitor

hi i want to get eather a monitor or lizard to start off with any suggestions on what type and the needs of that reptile(food,encloure ect)

For a monitor I, personally, wouldn't go for an enclosure less than 4ft.

ok 4 foot is good for me yer i was thinking a pymgy mulga monitor or a shingleback skink or somthing like that any sugustions

Pretty sure a 4ft would be fine for a pygmy mulga, I've only read about ackies and spencers but considering pygmys are the smallest monitors I'm pretty sure they wouldn't need anymore than ackies... and maybe spencers

I know nothing about shinglebacks but bluetongues need a little larger than a 4ft tank so I'd say shinglebacks are the same and you'd probably be safest with a 5ft or even 6ft... but then again I know nothing about them so maybe someone else can shed some light on this

That's about all I know about either of them so, yeah, hopefully someone else can shed some light on the other requirements

From my memory they can get up to 70cm but 50-60cm is more common

blue tongues are the best start off reptile, and bearded dragons are also good
