Was told by 3 out of 3 shops that childrens can be snappy as youngsters, but most grow out. Was told you do get placid ones by they have more of an uncertain temperment compared with the diamonds.
But Diamonds grow much larger and cost more (mine was $395), so depends on space and money too. They also require UV lighting, and lower temperatures.
So far mines so placid it wont even strike its food, just goes up and gives it a cuddle then gulps it down.

Your best bet would be to find peope in your area that keep snakes and see if you can handle some. This will give you a better idea of what you want. If you want something small, childreni, stimsoni or maculosa are good snakes.

He`s got a beautiful temprement and my five year old daughter loves him to bits. Hasn`t bothered to strike at anyone ever!!! |

i highly recomend MD's!
