help, she wont let go!

Our blackhead (who is normally the tamest most placid snake) has just latched on to my hand and just won't let go!!!!

She's been there for about 10min now..... what can I do to get her off

(yes go ahead and laugh, I am too!)

Yeah cold water or just try blowing in their mouth (don't put your face too close though)

....metho works.

I try not to use it if I have the patience to wait for them to let go, but one of my jungles occasionally latches on and on 2 occasions I've held an open bottle of meths about 10cm from it and works like a treat.
Lets go and gets on with things as if nothing's happened.

Try Rennies suggestion next time you need a release.

I saw this in action a while back and was dumbfounded to see how quickly the snake let go when a short sharp burst of air was directed into the mouth.
The snake immediately let go and I swear, if it had eyelids, it would have blinked in confusion.

I have since had occassion to try it myself and have been constantly impressed.

On your hand, where you have the crease of skin at the corner of the snakes mouth, is the gap you need to direct the air into. A good hard blow will have it releasing you rapidly.
