Herp Vets in Western Sydney

Hi all :

I need to take my beardies in for a check up (all 8 of them ) I've got one that might have an issue but the rest i just want a general check up on them to make sure that I"m taking care of them well. So... on the help forum i found 2 names that are relatively close to where I live and if anyone could give me feedback on them .. good or bad ... it would help me make a decision on which one I should go to.

Teri Bellamy office in Austral and Canley Heights
Robert Johnson in Penrith

Anyone had any experience with either of these two vets?

Your comments are much appreciated

cheers

Thanks for that, it's always good to get other people's experiences and opinions first. I've got an excellent vet for my cats and dogs but I've not had need of a herp vet before, so i want to make sure that I make a good choice the first time

Id recommend Rob,
I have to agree with inthegrass, he does explain everything and answer any questions you have, and is very good on the pocket. He also seems to be good all round bloke.

Terri is also very good with reptiles, you reall can't go wrong with either of these vets as they both have a lot of experience with herps.

Terri is excellent. She recieve an Order of Australia for her work with Wildlife.
Robert is one of the pioneers of herp vets in NSW.

Two thumbs up for Robert!! I recently took my Stimson to him and he was FANTASTIC!! As I was also new to this whole herp vet thing, he explained everything as he was doing it and his prices were wonderful!! He charged very minimal fees considering all that he did for my boy. Definitely can't go wrong if you take any of your herps to Robert!!

Ditto Robert Johnson, he's great.

Another excellent herp vet & top bloke is David Vella, although he's on the North Shore.
Like Robert, David helps injured wildlife and trains WIRES carers.
He's also great with reptiles.
These two vets are the best around, in my experience & opinion.

Here's his website:- http://www.davidvella.com.au

I always feel that you should always seek the best person for the job, which is what I see you are asking to find out.
IMO, I would say David Vella is that person, although I have heard good things about Robert johnson to.
If you can make it over to Crows Nest, then go with David Vella.

All the best.

Neil
