Herpetology Society of Qld

Is anyone a member of the Herpetology Society of Qld?

I noticed they have a meeting tomorrow, which includes a auction, and I am thinking of going. Can anyone shed some light on what actually happens at these meetings? Also do you have to be a member to attend or be expected to sign up if you attend?

Thanks

I am a member. The meeting details are at Bunya Pine Crt, off Draper Road, Eatons Hill, Brisbane and Starts 10 am BBQ afterwards. Next meeting is tomorrow 5/11 with guest speaker Simon Watharow, who is the editor of Reptiles Australia Magazine. The monthly auction is normally nothing special, some months they do not have anything at all.

If they do have anything to auction, it is normally only small items such as lights, light cages, books etc.

I have never seen enclosures or animals auctioned.

People usually have snakes and lizards for sale there. I know I have purchased a couple of coastal hatchlings there over the past year or so.
