Home Made Hides

Hi Simon

The home made hides i am in the process of making is similar method to fake rock walls.

I got some foam packaging from work that came with our external hdd so the center was already cut out. All i have done is cut a entry hole and roughed up the foam with a steak knife to create a rocky appearance, applied several coats of brown tile grout then painted and sealed.

Regards James

i just go to like crazy clarks or chicken feed (one of those really cheap shops) and get a few of the 50c cups, bowls etc depending on size. solder a hole as an entrance and it is done.
: )

My hide boxes are:
- shoe boxes with a hole cut out as an entrance (newspaper inside to get them to last for longer... alternatively, I can just buy more shoes ), or
- plastic lunch boxes, again with an entrance hole cut out, or
- toilet roll cores,
It all depends on the size of the snake

Visit Facebook Profile
I use all the cardboard boxes generated by a family of 5, coffee boxes, cereal boxes, shoe boxes anything like that, they do tend to poo in the hides, so with the cardboard, just chuck and replace
