As far a climbing, Diamonds are arboreal snakes and like climbing equally, boy or girl.
Who the heck said only boys like climbing, just rubbish. |

But as mentioned, you really don’t have to worry about that for a long long time as yet. |

Where is this source of crappy information you have come across.
If it is a person then I suggest you change subject matter when you talk to them.
If your diamond is eating well then it will outgrow the 2 foot tank when it is around 12 months old.
1200x1200x600 would be a good size enclosure for it ultimatley.
I had my 7ft long Atherton girl in an enclosure this size and it worked well. |

So 2 years, being a rough guess, would be maximum and it’s time to change.
It really depends how you feed, and how fast your Diamond grows.
As a general rule they don’t have heating 24/7 like other carpets, (maybe the first year) and don’t get fed every week (mine don’t anyway) and will therefore grow a bit slower. |

But if you'r talking 1 snake then thats different you can go to town. But this hobby has a habit of growing.
I'm planning to get a big B***ger of a second hand wardrobe & convert it for my diamonds . That way you're getting 1500-1800 (5'-6') high. You can put glass in the door panels or mouse mess for on a deck or balcony. Just some ideas. |
