Your choice whether or not to put it in a bag first to keep it dry - doesn't really matter.
The longer it takes to defrost, the more it decomposes, and the more gases that build up inside the stomach.

|  | Subscriber | Join Date: Feb-08 Location: Warrawee (Sydney), NSW Age/Gender: 19  | | | | i get a bowl of pretty hot tap water but put the mouse in as the water heats up so it goes through a few diff temps... the final hot water is just hot enough so its only just bearable to put my finger in and put the mouse straight in the water. they defrost pretty quickly this way. and i squeeze it a bit to make sure its all defrosted.

|  | Regular Member | Join Date: Dec-07 Location: Behind the bushes, Qld Gender:  | | | | i plan ahead a bit, i know i'm gonna feed the next day so put them in a ziplock in the fridge over night, onto the counter when i get home from work, 2 hrs later, 30 seconds under the warm water tap (water restrictions!) up to 38 deg or so and voila! breakfast (for a noctunal animal) of champions!

|  | Regular Member | | | | Put the forzen rodent into a bowl of warm-hot water. If theres several you may need to weigh them down with something, e.g - feeding tongs. When the rodent feels warm feed to snake. Easy!
