How fast should my MD be growing?

Hey all,

My MD is about 8 months old right now, and in the few months since I have bought him, he has been growing quite fast. I was wondering what a normal rate of growth for an MD would be. Right now (I'm not sure exactly how long he is, but...) he'll be close to a metre long. Is this a normal rate of growth, or is it faster than usual?

Cheers,
Dave

Mine is around the same age (Jan 13th) so i will get him out and measure him tonight before I feed him, might even weigh him too.

Will let you know, sounds around the same size though.

Depends on how much/often you are feeding it.

Where did yours come from ?

I got mine from Jason and Michel at Reptile City.

My decision was made by the date, it is the same date my mum was diagnosed with cancer 3 years prior.

I got mine at Gully Reptile Centa, they're pretty good there.

NinaPeas- I feed him once a week, was on two pinkies a week, but last Sunday went onto one velvet.

I was wondering this too - i feed my MD hopper/weaner mice - the second shed was 6 weeks after the first but the third was eight weeks after the second, he's about 9 months old and about 60-70cms i feed him every 4-9 days but maybe he just needs bigger meals? (i got him at about 4/5 months of age and he was about 45cm)

females are generally larger than males.... does this mean they grow quicker? or they just 'peak' later?
