Hi, I just had a conversation with someone today, and they said pythons get fed less when they get older. Is this true? I thought they get fed weekly regardless. My girl is nearly 3, how often should I feed her?

3 yr old is still a baby.
Depending on the animal I usually feed either weekly or fortnightly (or if the Scrubbie eats a couple of bunnies it's monthly).
I haven't heard the less as they get older theory but I've found that if the animal isn't hungry it just doesn't feed. So I suppose that if the animal is getting on in years and it starts refusing food regularly you will eventually see a feeding pattern and adjust your feed schedule to suit. I've had critters go 11 months without feeding so if one skips a feed every so often I wouldn't be overly concerned.

Because your girl is a Diamond, imo (which isn't very experienced) I'd be feeding her less often. Depending on what you're feeding her I'd be backing it off to once a fortnight, maybe a bit longer... as I said, it depends on what you're feeding her at the moment though. Diamonds are slow growing pythons and shouldn't be feed too much too often.
